Blackwoods Labradors
For the Love of Labradors
At Blackwoods Labradors we focused on breeding quality labradors that meet the Canadian Kennel Club standard. We take pride in breeding versatile dogs from showing in the ring, performing in the field, or simply being a wonderful family pet.
What we do
Raise quality Labradors whether for companion, field or show homes. All our dogs are health tested for the following: OFA Hips and elbows, DNA for PRA, HNPK, EIC, CNM and Dilute, Echocardiogram and eyes examined by a board certified ophthalmologist.
Why we do it
We truly love the Labrador breed, they are such a loving and versatile breed and to promote ethical, purposeful breeding of purebred dogs. We only breed to better the next generation.
How we do it
With the support and knowledge of many breeders, our vet and many friends and family members. It truly takes a community! We are truly thankful for all our breeder friends for your wisdom and knowledge and your willingness to share, this means the world.

Family History
She stole our hearts!
Our love for Labradors started back in 1997 when my husband, Paul, and I spent our wedding money on our very first Labrador Retriever named Cherish, from PEI, Canada. She was a black Labrador that stole our hearts.
